School girl

We really couldn't have wished for a better transition to school for Isabelle. She seems happy and eager to learn. She is engaged socially and is coping well with the new routines.

It's me who has been tired and sick!

I'm hoping that the easy transition will continue this week when we are really and truly into a new routine. Last week was made so much easier as I had Mum and Dad here to lean on, as well as Brendon off work for two days. The difference was apparent this morning, when Isabelle arrived at school late and without either her spelling book or her library book (both lost somewhere in the early morning chaos).

Today at Playcentre drop off one of Isabelle's friends told me excitedly that she was doing a school visit tomorrow. It will be nice for her to have Isabelle's familiar face there - and nice for Isabelle to see her too.
