Bread
Just had to share this post-Christening moment.
Isabelle had gone up the front of the church with the Sunday school group during the christening. I was interested to know whether what she was eating on her return was the communion bread.
Me: "Are you eating a little piece of bread?"
Isabelle: "No. It's just a piece of a body".
Me: "Ah, yes, that's symbolic. During the service, the bread stands for the body of Jesus. It doesn't mean it is actually a piece of a body though".
Pause
Isabelle: "Why is it a load of bollocks?"
Me: "Who told you it was a load of bollocks?"
Isabelle: "You did just now".
Pause
Me: "Oh. Symbolic!"
