Count down
The children are excitedly counting down the days until we leave for Christchurch.
Every morning Isabelle counts down how many sleeps are left. Every morning when we walk out the door, Aidan asks "Are we going to the airport? When are we going to the airport?".
There have been extensive role plays involving trips to the airport, checking in, and going on planes.
Brendon got the suitcases out today. Isabelle and Aidan spent some of the day loading up their cases with all their essentials, and dragging them around and around. I will no doubt spend much of tomorrow unloading the cases and replacing with my idea of the essentials. Fewer books, plastic bags and toys. More clothes.
