Toddler nights

Orla's up late again - she had an afternoon sleep.

We put on a boring adult dvd (no, not an "adult" dvd, a dvd of interest to adults).

"Miffy, yay!" she says as the dvd is inserted.
"No, not Miffy. Adult time now".
The BBC logo appears.
"Yay, Charlie and Lola!"
"No, not Charlie and Lola".

She watches the images.
"Look Orla, cows".
"Mooooo!"
"And some trees".
"Baaaa!"
"Er....".
"Ducks! Ducks! Ducks in the water!"

Eventually she falls asleep on the couch. I look at her enviously.
